Privacy Policy

This policy covers information we collect when you create an account, use the Service, or contact us. It applies to all customers of Roof Guru.

We collect the following kinds of information:

• Account info: your name, email, company name, and password (stored hashed) when you sign up.
• Organization data: the estimates, jobs, customers, pricing, measurements, and other records your team enters into the Service.
• Usage data:basic telemetry about how the Service is used — pages viewed, feature interactions, error traces — to help us diagnose issues and improve the product.
• Cookies: we use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. We do not use advertising cookies.

We use the information above to:

• operate the Service and provide the features you sign up for;
• send transactional email (receipts, alerts, password resets);
• respond to support requests;
• improve product quality, performance, and reliability;
• detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or security incidents.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your organization’s business data to train third-party AI models.

We rely on a small number of vetted infrastructure providers to run the Service:

• Vercel— application hosting and delivery.
• Neon— managed Postgres database.
• Better Auth— authentication and session management.
• Resend— transactional email delivery.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

We retain your organization’s data for as long as your account is active. You can request export or deletion at any time by emailing us. After account closure we’ll delete or anonymize data on a reasonable schedule, except where we’re required to keep records (for example, for tax or legal reasons).

We encrypt data in transit with TLS and rely on industry-standard encryption at rest through our database provider. Inside the Service, every tenant organization’s records are isolated by organization ID so one customer can’t see another’s data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe and will notify affected customers promptly in the event of a material data breach.

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Most of this is self-service from your account; for anything else, email us and we’ll help. If you’re in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (such as the EU/UK or California), those rights apply to your data as well.

Roof Guru is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify active organizations by email.
